Side Saddle Wine Saloon & Bar

Saddle up for an evening of natural wines and Southern-inspired small plates at one of Atlanta’s most welcoming new wine bars. Located in Boulevard Heights, Side Saddle Wine Saloon offers a sultry, inclusive atmosphere where every guest feels like they belong.

The Experience

Named to honor the historical act of breaking free from constraints, this female-owned bar was founded by Kayla Bellman (of Finca to Filter) with an intentional mission to welcome women, queer folks, and people of color.

  • The Vibe: Sultry sophistication with checkered floors, terracotta velvet booths, and palm-printed chairs.
  • The Patio: An expansive 10,000-square-foot shared space with fairy lights and bistro tables.

Wine & Cocktails

The program highlights "funky, fun, and sustainable" natural wines from small-batch producers, specifically amplifying women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ winemakers.

  • Wine Deals: Glasses range from $14–$18; flights of three half-pours are available for $15.
  • Signature Sips: Try the tropical "Pecans by the Pool" cocktail ($12) or the mineral-driven Pomalo Freskavina Grasevina white wine.
  • Special Events:
    • Wednesdays: Half-off bottles during Women Winemaker features.
    • Fridays: Funky wine selections.

The Food

Chef Carla Fears brings a "Southern Black girl twist" to Italian techniques. All shareable plates are designed for wine pairing and are priced under $20.

  • Must-Try Dishes: Creamy hummus, pimento cheese, fried okra, and seared tuna.
  • Crowd Favorite: The grass-fed burger, served pre-halved for easy sharing.
