Ponce City Market
Experience one of Atlanta’s most vibrant destinations—Ponce City Market, a historic landmark transformed into the ultimate food hall, shopping, and entertainment destination just a short ride from the Georgia World Congress Center.
About Ponce City Market
Housed in the iconic 1926 Sears, Roebuck & Company building, Ponce City Market (affectionately called “PCM” by locals) is one of the South’s largest adaptive reuse projects and a testament to Atlanta’s creative revitalization. The 2.1-million-square-foot building once served as the Southeast’s retail and distribution hub for Sears, later became City Hall East, and finally reopened in August 2014 as a mixed-use development developed by Jamestown Properties—the same team behind New York’s famed Chelsea Market. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, PCM sits at the intersection of the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail in the historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.
The Central Food Hall Experience
The heart of Ponce City Market is its Central Food Hall, featuring over two dozen chef-driven restaurants and artisan vendors offering everything from Southern comfort food to global cuisines. This culinary destination showcases James Beard Award-winning chefs including Anne Quatrano (Bacchanalia), Linton Hopkins (Restaurant Eugene), and Sean Brock (Husk).
Must-Try Food Hall Highlights:
• Bellina Alimentari: Handmade pasta, Italian market fare, and monthly pasta-making classes in a cozy wine bar atmosphere
• Botiwalla: Modern Indian street food from the chef behind Chai Pani, featuring grilled meats, lamb kabobs, and tikka rolls
• Minero: Traditional Mexican with handmade corn tortillas, house-made salsas, and a margarita-forward cocktail list
• H&F Burger: Consistently solid burgers from the beloved Atlanta establishment
• Vietvana: Authentic Vietnamese street food including pho, banh mi, and spring rolls
• Bibi: Modern Persian cuisine with Mediterranean influences
• W.H. Stiles: Coastal market serving fresh oysters in a beach bungalow atmosphere
• Five Daughters Bakery: Home of the famous Hundred Layer Doughnut (a croissant-doughnut hybrid that takes three days to make)
Beyond the Food Hall
PCM offers much more than dining. Browse boutique shops including Reformation (sustainable fashion), Glossier (beauty), and local artisan vendors. The second floor features unique Atlanta shops and retail, while Dancing Goats Coffee Bar provides the perfect spot to caffeinate and recharge.
The Roof
Don’t miss Skyline Park atop PCM—a rooftop amusement park featuring boardwalk-style games, 18-hole miniature golf, and carnival rides, paying homage to the site’s history as the “Coney Island of the South.” Adjacent 9 Mile Station offers craft cocktails and Southern-inspired food with sweeping Atlanta skyline views—the perfect spot for sunset photos.
